Rapper Warren G Arrested Over Drugs Possession

US rapper Warren G has been bailed after being found in possession of marijuana, police in Los Angeles have said.

The rapper, whose real name is Warren Griffin III, was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning after police caught him driving through a red light.

Griffin and his passenger, Ryan Butler, were found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Both men were released after posting a $20,000 bail.

Los Angeles Police Officer Sara Faden said: "Officers searched the car and found enough marijuana to arrest them for possession with intent to sell."

Griffin, who received a Grammy nomination in 2005, is perhaps most famous for his hit 'Regulate'.
